Competency management > TMA Competency Library Online

The TMA Competency online library includes the following components of the TMA Competency Library . You can create your specific job and competency profiles YOURSELF and adapt to your own liking.

The TMA Competency Library also describes the relation between personality and the competency development potential. For certain personalities a competency can be easier to develop than for others. In order to assess whether a candidate’s personality is prone to develop a certain competency, the TMA Talent Analysis can be used. A person’s aptitude does not only indicate whether s/he possesses a certain Competency in relation to a position or environment; it also indicates which development areas are more likely to be enhanced successfully.

1. General Competencyce description
The basis of Competency management is speaking and thinking in a common Competency language, to use the same definitions and to have a mutual understanding. In doing so, you know exactly what behavior to expect, which tasks need to be performed and what results can be expected.

2. Examples of behavior - specific and measurable
Within the TMA Competency Library you can choose the competencies you require for a position. After that, you specify the behavioral level you require for each Competency by choosing the relevant behavioral examples. You can add behavioral examples if you like. We advice to choose between 3 and 7 examples per Competency. behavioral examples can be chosen at different levels (general, operational, strategic, tactical).
